Museum of Kroměříž region
In originally a Renaissance building from the beginning of 17th century with arches and a portal there is currently the seat of the museum with a large gallery in the arcade and other exhibition halls. Permanent exhibitions are a Memorial of Max Švabinský devoted to the life and work of this famous Czech painter and Kroměříž native, in the historical vaults there is a new archaeological-historical exhibition "History hidden under the town paving" and archaeological-scientific exhibition "Nature and man".
The museum organizes short-term exhibitions in the Gallery in the arcade and the Little Gallery, programmes for schools, workshops for children, and a professional public library. Permanent exhibitions: Memorial of Max Švabinský, History hidden under the town paving and Nature and man.
Opening hours
Open all year long apart from Mondays 9am – 12pm, 1pm-5pm.
